Kirchbühl School Pavilion, Stäfa
The Kirchbühl school pavilion in Stäfa was initiated in 2025 and completed as early as 2026 after just five months of construction. The project was carried out under a general contracting arrangement and exemplifies efficient planning and precise execution. The rapid completion was made possible by the innovative modular timber construction method, which combines short construction times with high-quality workmanship. What is particularly noteworthy is that this is already the second school building in Stäfa to be constructed using this method. The project thus follows directly on from the Beewies school building and confirms the positive experiences with modular construction.
The pavilion combines modern technology with sustainable construction. A photovoltaic system generates renewable energy directly on the building. Climate-controlled ceilings ensure a comfortable indoor environment, while acoustic ceilings create optimal learning conditions by improving room acoustics.
The building also impresses with its well-thought-out design features. A vertical lift provides barrier-free access and ensures that all areas of the pavilion are easily accessible to everyone. The result is a modern classroom that combines functionality, comfort, and sustainability.
