A new McDonald's restaurant has been built in Moutier using innovative modern timber construction methods. The combination of precise prefabrication and efficient on-site assembly meant that the project was completed in just eleven weeks. The two-story building demonstrates how efficiently and to what high standards a contemporary restaurant can be built.

A modern restaurant concept using modular construction

The new building was planned and constructed entirely using timber elements. The delivery included the complete outer shell, the McDrive counter, the roof waterproofing, and all canopies, which provide inviting and sheltered access. In addition, all exterior doors, load-bearing interior wall structures, interior doors, the interior staircase, and various steel components were installed. With a usable area of 660 square meters, the building offers ideal conditions for an efficient, customer-oriented restaurant operation.
